Corporate Yield Manager

 

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Corporate Yield Manager to join our Fed Beef Division. This position is located fully onsite at our Corporate office in Greeley, Colorado, and reports to the Corporate Product Manager. The focus of this role is to work with the Operational and Commercial side of the business unit in an analysis and reporting function. This person will be responsible for production yield-related analysis and reporting for the Fed Beef Business Unit.  This includes working with the Corporate Operations teams, Sales/Pricing/Mix Management leadership, Fabrication and Slaughter leaders and associates, Corporate Business Analysis team members, and Business Leadership to provide information and reports to enhance decision making and improve processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Take an active role in driving performance improvements
  • Coordinate and participate in yield testing and manage yield tree development
  • Develop Cost to Produce methodology to support the business on sales initiatives
  • Educate team members on our yield reports and work with the various teams to identify ways to improve performance
  • Produce and/or verify daily and weekly reporting
  • Analyze and contribute to requests to develop new products
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agribusiness, Animal Science, Meat Science, Ag Economics, or equivalent experience required
  • 1 year of experience in the meat industry or a production environment required, beef industry experience preferred
  • Additional experience in an analytical role or similar relevant experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel required
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
  • Strong communication and presenting skills required
  • Experience deriving insights and trends from a data set
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $86,500-$115,000; and
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
