DATA & INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are seeking a Data & Information Security Analyst to join the JBS USA IT Security Team. This on-site role is based at our Corporate Office in Greeley, Colorado. The analyst will ensure that company data, whether on-premises or in the cloud, is secured, monitored, governed, and handled in compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation and maintenance of data security controls across the enterprise.
  • Monitor cloud security posture using tools such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center/Defender, and CSPM platforms.
  • Identify and remediate misconfigurations in cloud environments (IAM, storage, network, keys, logging).
  • Assist in access reviews, certifications, and audits pertaining to sensitive data repositories.
  • Participate in risk assessments, document identified risks, contribute to risk rankings, and help track remediation progress.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams regarding data protection, security requirements, and cloud governance.
  • Support compliance initiatives by applying best practices for identity governance and security
  • Use ticketing and tracking systems to document requests, approvals, provisioning tasks, and configuration updates
  • Escalate access conflicts or policy exceptions to the IT Manager as needed
  • Troubleshoot complex identity, authentication, and access-related issues across various platforms
  • Assist in access reviews, certifications, and audits to maintain compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
  • Perform user lifecycle management duties, including birthright policy management, onboarding, offboarding, and access modifications
  • Provision and deprovision access to business systems in alignment with company policy and role-based access standards
  • Communicate technical information clearly, professionally, and in a customer focused manner
  • Collaborate with application owners and thirdparty providers on identity and access initiatives
  • Complete tasks and projects within established timelines
  • Provide guidance to internal customers regarding access security and identity best practices
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications: 

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in information systems or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 3+ years of direct IT Security experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Data security tools (DLP, CASB, DSPM, classification/labelling)
    • Cloud security (AWS, Azure)
    • Data governance & privacy frameworks (CCPA, GDPR, SOX, HIPAA)
    • SIEM/SOC monitoring tools
    • Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)
  • Familiarity with encryption, key management, tokenization, and data masking technologies.
  • Knowledge of AWS & Azure security services including IAM, Security Hub, Azure Defender, etc.
  • Strong understanding of data lifecycle governance: classification, retention, minimization, deletion.
  • Excellent communication skills, documentation abilities, and customer service orientation.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving capabilities with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strongly Preferred (but not required) Certifications: Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA CySA+ (CE), Microsoft Cybersecurity Analyst, or a similar cybersecurityfocused certification.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $75,000-$85,000;
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
