DEPARTMENT: Safety Department

MAJOR FUNCTION: To train employees to be productive in their new positions.

 Function: To train and educate new and existing employees in all pertaining compliance programs.

Principal Responsibilities:

·         Train new employees (production and maintenance) and current plant employees at all levels in compliance programs. Thus performing training to an authorized levels.

·         Maintenance Safety Training

·         LOTO 

·         Confined Space

·         Hot work Permit

·         Electrical Safety

·         Industrial Truck Program

·         Fall Protection

·         Hazard Communication

·         Hazmat

·         Line Break Permit

·         Contractor Program

·         PPE

·         Respiratory Protection

·         Railcar, Tanker, Hopper Safety

·         Any other Specialized Training

·         Perform Compliance Audits

·         Participate at all levels in the emergency response effort

·         Work Closely with training department to ensure proper training requirements are met

·         Log and tack all compliance training

·         Assist with compliance program updates

·         Conducts Contractor Orientation

·         Evaluates newly hired maintenance employees to ensure they meet the safety qualifications of the position.

·         Assist in Special Project as needed by the department

·         Work schedule fluctuates depending on training demands

·         Job performance is measured by the Safety & Health Manager on such criteria as quality of training and communication ability with employees
