Job Title:  Accounting Specialist- Cattle Payables

Location: Omaha

Reporting to:  Accounting Manager

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepares daily reconciliation of cattle killed for payment
• Prepares GY payments for cattle and enters into systems
• Prepares market payments for cattle and enters into system
• Cut the cattle checks
• Matches up paperwork and mails checks and files all backup
• Sends wire paperwork to corporate treasury
• Calculates freight payment and enters into system
• Help with payment and tracking of Wagyu Feeder Cattle and Bull Inventory
• Back up other duties needed

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• 2-3 years of related experience
• Knowledge or experience working in meat or food processing industry preferred but not required
• SAP systems preferred but not required

Skills/Abilities Required:

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, namely Excel
• Must be able to multi task and possess strong detail oriented analytical abilities
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
