We are looking for a Pilgrim’s Regional Retail Sales Manager that has ownership qualities and will grow the relationships and growth of customers.

This position will be based in the Kroger Sales Office (Covington, KY)

 The territory covers: Kroger Divisions located in IL, IN, OH, KY, TN, VA, WV, MO.


  • Establish sales relationship and drive sales strategy within the Kroger stores, Blue Ash Buying Center and internal Kroger GO.
  • Establish sales/support relationship with Blue Ash Buying Group, store managers, deli managers and meat department managers.
  • Manage local Broker reps in each market to support growth goals and implement strategy to accomplish those goals.
  • Manage forecasting, assist in price changes, internal and external documents and office support.
  • Delegate and follow through on sales plans to broker and in-store personnel.
  • Review weekly analytics and conduct weekly meetings with each broker market to measure results and adjust strategy.
  • Plan, Schedule, Develop, and Execute sales trainings and new product introductions with Broker offices, store management and hourly employees.
  • Knowledge of retail item offering and product capability, and current price list.
  • Regular collaboration with Head of Retail Sales/Kroger Sales Team Leader to review and update strategies and initiatives.
  • Accept ownership of Sales Objectives and all facets of our business that impact sales growth and management, as well as in-store and buyer execution.
  • Work in Tandem with Pilgrims Production facilities to manage complaints, foreign material collection, product quality, performance, packaging and in-store product merchandising
  • Be informed about and communicate market and industry changes that will affect our performance and growth.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred; can be substituted for related experience
  • Must be able to travel at least 50%
  • Some experience in retail food sales required
  • Protein (poultry) experience preferred
  • Ability to represent Pilgrims and sell our brand and corporate mission
