HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST (PAYROLL)

Primary Payroll Processing
Performs proactive recruiting and on-boarding activities. a. Leads pre-employment screening, applicant assessments and employment verification. b. Maintains ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates. 2. Implements and administers employee policies. a. Assist with New Hire Orientation b. Assist in tracking and managing FMLA claims. c. Responsible for attendance tracking and keeping managers informed of attendance issues. 3. Provides high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues. a. Answers routine questions and inquires that require knowledge of established departmental procedures and familiarity with operations and programs with human resources. b. Assists in conducting internal investigations by gathering data. 4. Supports the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience. a. Assists with the development of various activities such as job fairs, training and development workshops, employee booklets, communications, and/or meetings. 5. Prepares termination and severance letters. a. Conducts follow-up exit interviews. 6. Responsible for administering benefit and government programs. a. Maintains confidentiality of both current and former employees and their records. b. Maintains personnel files and Human Resource Information System records; compiles reports from HR database. c. Assist in tracking and managing Unemployment Claims, I-9 compliance. d. Assists in sick leave and leave of absence program, FMLA administration, benefit continuation and premium payment tracking. 7. May assume other duties as assigned.
