Process Safety Director
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Process Safety Director for our JBS Fed Beef team in Greeley, Coorado.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain safety programs, files and records in accordance with company and government regulations
- Inspect all operations being performed daily, such as production, plant maintenance, and storage of materials for compliance with company
- Assists plant B/E teams with development of safe and efficient operations of Boiler and Refrigeration systems within the Fed Beef and Rendering Facilities
- Oversight of Refrigeration and Boiler capital projects
- Oversight of capital planning and 5-year strategies for Refrigeration and Boiler systems
- Assist supervisors in conducting investigations on injury accidents and near incidents during 2nd shift and report findings to Safety Manager
- Inspect all fire extinguishers that are installed on a regular monthly schedule; inspect emergency equipment (Haz-Mat) and chemical storage
- Write reports implementing the safety program, train employees, inspect the facility for adequate fire protection, and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition
- Correct working conditions using knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, psychology, and safety standards, develop loss control programs; and devise methods to evaluate safety programs
- Be responsible for and make recommendations for compliance with federal and state regulations
- Escort employees of all agencies conducting safety, fire and physical security audits for the facility
- Assess new developments in the health and safety field to benefit the plant
- Keep apprised of developments in federal and state safety laws likely to affect the company
- Promote and encourage participation in safety, health, and environmental programs
- Position requires 75-80% travel and long term stays at facilities
- Position will require relocation to Greeley, Colorado as home base of support
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 5-7 years of verifiable experience in Process Safety Management preferred
- Working experience with refrigeration and boilers preferred
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. - Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

- Base salary range of $118,000-$145,000;
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
