Description
FUNCTION: To Train and educate new and existing employees in all plant compliance programs
Principal Responsibilities:
- Train new maintenance, rendering and management employees including current plant employees at all levels in compliance programs. Thus performing training to an authorized levels.

- Perform Compliance Audits (fire extinguisher, emergency lights, ladders, fall protection equipment, eye was stations, haz-mat equipment, calibrate IH monitors monthly, fire suppression system monthly inspections, etc.)
- Participate at all levels in the emergency response effort
- Work closely with HR training department to ensure proper training requirements are met
- Log and track all compliance training
- Assist with compliance program updates
- Conducts Contractor Orientation
- Evaluates newly hired maintenance employees to ensure they meet the safety qualifications of the position
- Assist in special projects as needed by the department and other duties as assigned
- Attend and give input during training meetings
- Work schedule fluctuates depending training demands
- Job performance is measured by the Safety & Health Manager on such criteria as quality of training and communication ability with employees
Working Conditions
- Combination of office setting as well as production and maintenance
- Physical demands of this position include a great deal of walking and stair climbing
- Exposure to various chemicals, machinery and knives likely
- Work are includes slippery floors, temperature extremes and loud noise
- General work 50-60 hours per week, 5-6 days a week and could be considered on call additional hours
Requirements
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 2 years production experience to learn how floor operates (or) safety application in general industry equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of various areas production and maintenance
- Writing skills
- Computer skills
- Communication skills
- Bilingual important because many classes are being taught in languages other than English
- Any other task as required
