JOB TITLE: FEEDMILL LEAD PERSON

POSTION SUMMARY:

Responsible for manufacturing feed in accordance with standard operating procedures established at the feed mill. This position will be responsible for operating the computer automation systems required to receive ingredients, grind grains, mix and pellet feed. Operate the processing equipment according to established standard operating procedures. In addition to feed manufacturing the operator will perform housekeeping activities, quality checks on feed and ingredients maintenance and repair of equipment. The lead person is also responsible for compliance with all company policies. Local, State and Federal policies, laws and regulations.

   WILL BE RESPONSIBLE:

• Operate the pelleting, grinding and batching equipment
• Manufacture feed according to quality assurance policies and GMPs
• Collect sample ingredients and perform quality assurance tests
• Perform micro handling  & house keeping duties
• Monitor equipment and processes reporting issues to management
• Comply with company, local, state and federal laws regulations
• Must be able to dispatch and receive in ingredients if needed

   ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

• Must work well with others in a team environment
• Must possess good decision making skills
• Must have good math skills
• Require to load trucks with the correct feed, and use load out printer
• Responsible for keeping the area clean
• Must obtain Confined Space Certification
• Must obtain forklift, and weigh master license

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Physical demands: standing, walking, lifting
• Dependability a must
• Able to bend and lift objects
• Able to read English and some computer knowledge
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Take Responsibility for work area equipment

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate or GED equivalent
