Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable employee to join our Facility Upkeep & Project Crew at our beef processing plant. This role is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks related to painting, facility upkeep, and small-scale construction or repair projects to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

This role is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks related to painting, facility upkeep, and small-scale construction or repair projects to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform interior and exterior painting of plant structures, equipment, and surfaces.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming.
- Complete minor facility repairs including drywall, flooring, doors, and windows.
- Assist with installation, demolition, or renovation projects as assigned.
- Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and project instructions to complete tasks.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety, sanitation, and operational standards.
- Coordinate with other maintenance and operations teams as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Skills and experience:
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Preferred 1–2 years of experience in facility maintenance, painting, or a related trade.
- Knowledge of proper painting techniques, tools, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and technical documents.
- Basic carpentry, drywall, and general repair skills preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed.
- Painting, construction and Maintenance skills.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Tolerance for working in a meat processing environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
