Starting Pay: $58k+/year, DOE
A Business Analyst transforms production and accounting data into user friendly, actionable data to support field and management teams in the quest for continual improvement of operational efficiency. The Business Analyst will be responsible for working with multifunctional teams including accounting, production, and senior management teams to build, populate, analyze, and distribute focused reports of production and financial performance through both regular continuous improvement of reporting and Ad hoc efforts. 
Essential Functions:

  1. Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
  2. Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications
  3. Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
  4. Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
  5. Interpret and evaluate data to develop integrated business analyses and projections for operational decision-making
  6. Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
  7. Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
Success Factors:
  • Effective communication with the management and regional team.
  • A working knowledge of swine production and basic accounting. 
  • Exceptional reporting and analysis skills.
  • Focus on details and ensuring clarity of what is being asked for and what is being reported on.
  • Influence the actions/opinions of others in the desired direction based on sound facts/reasoning.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks
Job Qualifications:
  • REQUIRED:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business analytics or related field
    • Extensive knowledge of reporting and data analysis
    • Detail Oriented with strong communication skills, particularly in clarifying parameters for reporting and analysis
    • Very proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, and related software
  • DESIRED:
    • 2+ years’ experience
    • Previous experience in manufacturing and/or live production
    • Strong Sense of Urgency and ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
Working Conditions:
    • General climate-controlled office environment
    • Required to be able to operate all office equipment, sit for long periods with extended computer work sessions.
    • Temperature at work sites will vary depending upon season and location.
    • Exposure to various elements inherent with agriculture production
    • The noise level in the work environment is general moderate.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
