JOB SUMMARY:

 

Applies business knowledge for the successful weekly compilation and reporting of hourly payroll.  Facilitates a positive relationship between personnel and management. Answers hourly employee questions on employee relations, compensation, benefits, and employee services. Follows Human Resources practices and objectives to provide accurate, timely and compliance driven achievement throughout the facility. Escalates payroll deviations and deadline concerns as critical issues to management. Coordinates implementation of projects with local and corporate Human Resources staff.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

 

  1. Responsible for processing payroll reporting and activities
    1. Compiling payroll process weekly and submits reports accurately and on time
    2. Coordinates and processes Off Cycle payments as necessary
    3. Enters correcting items from error report from Pay Card and Bank Returns
    4. Completes payroll tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor
  2. Employee information resource for payroll and time keeping system
    1. Answers questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters
  3. Enter electronic records for hourly personnel
    1. Employee weekly and daily schedules and adjustments
    2. Employee ID badges
    3. Vacation, sick leave, etc.
  4. Assist with governmental/compliance reporting
  5. Assists in the management of files and producing reports
    1. Manages Employee personnel files
    2. Creates HR reports when necessary
    3. Participates in HR Audit to submit payroll data
  6. Assumes other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Strong 10-Key data entry skills required
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Windows applications)
  • SAP and Kronos (UKG) knowledge preferred
  • 2 years of experience in similar role preferred
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external customers at all levels
  • Highly organized and dependable
  • Self-starter and proactive
  • High School diploma or GED required

ACTIVITIES:

 

 

Sedentary office work, sitting for long hours.

HEARING:

 

Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

 

REPETITIVE MOTION:

 

Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

 

Most of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant.

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
