Industrial Manager – Hickman’s

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: MTQ USA has an opportunity for an experienced Industrial Manager to join the team in this newly created position in Arlington, AZ. As our Industrial Manager , you will focus on how to get work completed in the most efficient way, balancing many factors including time, number of workers needed, efficiency, available technology, actions required, and achieving a quality product with minimal rework, whilst ensuring workers' safety. The successful candidate will find ways to eliminate wastefulness in production processes to achieve targets set in production/processing roles, lead continuous improvement initiatives and devise ways to be more efficient

Responsibilities:

• Managing 4 shell egg, 1 breaker and 1 hard cook plants with around 250 employees
• Developing solutions to operational issues to reach desired cost reduction and quality improvements
• Developing, installing, and maintaining cost effective methods of manufacturing
• Conducting maintenance and operational teams abreast to reach the best efficiency rates
• Developing work measurements to optimize operations
• Coaching production and maintenance managers to develop their potential
• Developing different approaches with the team in order to have a healthy working environment
• Conducing the process aligned to the Compliance team and USDA team present in the sites
• Developing a preventive maintenance plan for the grade and breaker eggs machines, refrigeration system, as well the other equipment involved in the process
• Leading continuous improvements and operational excellence teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Reducing waste, rework, and cycle times
• Collaborating with the engineering team to determine overall equipment effectiveness and associated improvement strategies
• Provide training to management for implementation of new procedures, processes, services, and technology
• Managing labor cost strategies across the Arizona site
• Assisting in financial planning and cost analysis
• Keeping abreast of industry technology
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanic Engineer, Electrical Engineer or equivalent
• Demonstrated industrial engineering experience (ideally 5+ years) or equivalent industry experience
• Full Professional oral and written communication skills in English required.
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Experience in both, maintenance and production area will be a differential
• Ability to respond calmly in difficult situations whilst maintaining a strong customer service focus
• Leadership and coach abilities to develop a strong team
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment
• Takes other's perspectives into consideration
• Makes self fully available as required

• As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
• Base salary range of $110,000-$120,000
• Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and

The posted salary range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the compensation that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, tenure, internal equity, market data, and may vary accordingly.
