ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  1. Follows all work safety policies/guidelines
  2. Operates water treatment facility in the most economical and efficient manner in accordance with company, MN Dept of Health and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency standards.
  3. Performs in-plant lab testing to obtain accurate and consistence results.
  4. Conducts preventative maintenance program on all equipment keeping it in good working order at all times to assure continuous operation.
  5. Perform maintenance on all equipment including repairing, installing and rebuilding as necessary.
  6. Basic knowledge of Membrane Bio Reactor System
  7. Assist in maintaining grounds.
  8. Other duties as directed by the supervisor or manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Class D water and wastewater license.
  • Working skill in Water Treatment plant operations.
  • Working knowledge of chemical analysis procedures
  • Working knowledge of computer usage
  • Considerable ability to lift heavy objects (up to 40 pounds)
  • Working skills in maintenance and repair
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent attendance required.
