Freezer Shipping Superintendent   
HOURS: 
  • 1st Shift - Flexible as needed or required. 
DUTIES: 
  
  • Direct management & supervisors with respect to production volume, quality, cost and meeting production schedules and deliver dates.
  • Ensure adherence to procedures that promote the health and welfare of all employees in the department
  • With appropriate management personnel, study operations where cost standards are not being met to determine causes and apply corrective measures.
  • Arrange to have appropriate production records prepared and maintained.
  • Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions; take proper and judicious disciplinary measures when required.
  • Utilizing corporate scheduling
  • Continually meeting customer requirements
  • In concert with individual plant managers, establish accountabilities and goals used for performance evaluation
  • Attend and schedule appropriate meetings
  • Accountable to General Manager for late load claims, product shortages, weight deficits, pounds per employee hour, overtime hours, etc..
  • Perform other various duties as needed.
  
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the Operation and the industry
  • Previous management experience in meat processing industry preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills & problem solving.
  • Strong Multi-tasking skills are necessary.
  • Knowledge and technical skills in a variety of production jobs
  • Microsoft Office.  Proficiency in Excel preferred.
  • Ability to handle conflict; interpersonal skills.
  • Understand and comply with Company policy and procedures
  • Good communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational, math and statistical skills
  • Good work ethics
  • Team Player with leadership skills
  • College preferred

As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base annual salary range of $90 - 97K
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
