Class A CDL Driver
Description
As a CDL A Driver with Colony Hardware, you will be the backbone of our company who make our mission to provide top quality products to commercial contractors and industrial accounts come alive. To do this, you will utilize your eagerness to do what’s expected to ensure that our customers are getting what they need, when they need it!

- Between 7am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with some potential early morning starts as needed for deliveries
- Home every night (no overnight driving)
A Little About Your Day:
- You will safely drive 48' semi-trailer vehicles or a 24' straight truck to deliver various lengths/sizes of steel reinforcement bar (rebar), often to customer construction sites.
- From day to day, you will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of merchandise in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
- You will load your truck via forklift or by hand and secure it with strapping to ensure safe delivery to customer jobsites.
- You will safely operate a truck-mounted forklift if needed to load/unload building supplies and materials, such as rebar, erosion control items, and more.
- Operating with a strong attention to detail, you will perform your pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle, equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure your safety.
- You will check in frequently with the customer to announce arrival, collect payments from customers, and ensure all signatures are received.
- When not driving, you may be asked to assist as needed in the warehouse.
What You’ll Need for Success:
- A minimum of 3+ years of prior driving experience and deliveries.
- Experience driving flatbeds with moffett or piggyback experience strongly preferred.
- You must be 21 years of age or older.
- A valid driver’s license with a sustained record of safe driving.
- A Commercial Driver’s License A.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
