Estate Hospitality Specialist
Description
We are searching for a dynamic hospitality professional who can work in a fast-paced environment and is focused on curating exceptional guest experiences. Applicants must be effective self-starters, confident in their ability to execute high-end events and work in a team-oriented environment.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Hospitality Tasks:
- Responsible for the grooming of the entire establishment and its perimeters.
- Assist with the inventory, organization, and maintenance of all hospitality spaces including vacuuming, watering plants, sweeping sidewalks, fluff pillows, cobweb removal, dusting, stocking tasting collateral, etc.
- Opening and closing of the hospitality spaces.
- Set up of tastings, opening/decanting wine, serving water/food to guests.
- Between seatings promptly clean and reset tables.
- Inspect, clean, and replenish restrooms as needed.
- Review upcoming large group events/tastings and place rental orders.
- Assist hosts with traveling needs: packing suitcases, shipping wine for events, making folios & tuits, etc.
Kitchen Tasks:
- Prepare cheese/charcuterie plates for tastings.
- Engage in food preparations with Chef for lunches, dinners, tastings, and events.
- Take inventory of select kitchen items for reorder by Chef or Estate Manager.
- Coordinate with Estate Team as directed to clarify any special requests, guest count, time changes, etc.
- Cleaning, polishing, and restocking of glassware, dishes, pots, pans, etc.
Inventory Tasks:
- Assist with quarterly wine inventory counts.
- Receive and stock weekly wine transfers and deliveries.
- Pack wine shipments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting preferred.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Bilingual skills preferred, but not required.
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Knowledge of how to use basic kitchen tools and equipment.
- Possess a flexible schedule and able to work evenings & weekends.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Understand and respond to a diverse population.
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
WAGE TRANSPARENCY
The base pay for this role ranges from $23.19 - $33.03 per hour. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
