- Assist with tracking fermentations and providing input to the winemaking team, responsible for managing spreadsheets and work order generation for juice and wine additions
- Understanding all winemaker protocols and ensuring they are being reflected in the cellar
- Assist winemakers in maintaining detailed and organized records of winemaking trials and experiments.
- Flexibility to assist in cellar as needed: racking, barreling down wine/juice, preparing additions, yeast and malolactic inoculations, pump overs, operating and monitoring crush equipment including presses, de-stemmer, and must pump, sanitizing tanks and equipment, adds.
- Responsible for all facility shipping and receiving scheduling, and work order generation
- Maintain inventory of dry goods, cleaning chemicals, and harvest implements
- Work closely with cellar master, foreman and cellar staff to ensure all SOP’s are being followed.
- Participate in vineyard tours, scouting vines, assessing ripeness
- Degree in Enology, Viticulture, or related field preferred (or in progress)
- At least 2+ harvests or similar winery experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of basic lab procedures and winemaking concepts
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Able to work long hours, weekends, and flexible shifts during peak harvest
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
