IGN is looking for a talented Project Manager with a love of entertainment and video games. This position is currently fully remote, but in future (and only when it is safe to do so) could be in our San Francisco or Los Angeles (Culver City) office. Experience working on web content for TV or Online Media preferred.

This is a Monday-Friday contract position from August through the end of September 2020.  

The Project Manager is responsible for the management of multiple projects from kick-off to completion. In partnership with the team leads, it's their job to ensure each project is delivered on-time, within scope, and on brief.

They facilitate how and when things get done. Working across groups (creative, core content, strategy, etc), they are the day-to-day point person ensuring we deliver innovative and profitable branded content programming.

They’re the driving force behind each project and the “go-to” person for all the details. They’re expected to know the "ins" and "outs" of a project, what happens next, where everyone needs to be, and can anticipate when to expect the unexpected.


  • Prior experience as a project manager within a digital and/or integrated marketing/advertising agency (required)
  • Experience in project management for video productions
  • PMP Certification or any agile project management certification(s) (desired)
  • Experience developing and managing project plans, budgets, and resource plans
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects across multiple clients
  • Ability to keep key team members on task and on-time
  • Ability to handle a variety of project types and timelines, from media to print to digital to social
  • Ability to work with clients directly when called upon (client-facing)
  • Ability to identify, communicate, and resolve project issues by developing solutions instead of pointing out challenges
  • In-depth understanding of what resources to pull into a project and when
  • Must be able to work and communicate with creative teams to break down tasks and facilitate the resolution of issues
  • Create the conditions of great work without compromising budgets or timing
  • Lead and organize efficient internal meetings
  • Develop tasks lists, status reports & meeting notes
  • High-level cross-discipline knowledge of strategy, requirements gathering, content strategy, production, technology, analytics and quality assurance
