Everyday Health Professional is seeking a Director of Product Management to help lead the growth of our leading professional product MedPagetoday.com. Our Professional Division is specifically focused on the healthcare professional and consists of a network of sites, including MedpageToday.com, Health eCareers.com and PRIME Education.

You have experience at a media company or online content publisher, and you have proven experience in improving a product to support aggressive goals in both traffic and revenue growth.

You love the idea of serving as a product entrepreneur within the Everyday
Health Professional team. You are highly motivated to explore, develop and
launch new products and internal tools that will engage our professional
audience, as well as serve our content, advertising and sponsorship needs.

As a hands-on product management leader, you bring broad product management skills and discipline to the table. You love partnering and working with others, and you figure out ways to collaborate with cross-functional teams because you understand the importance of having a team behind you. When you need to convince the business that your idea is the idea to fund, you understand the importance of backing it with data and creating a compelling story.

You are analytical and strategic in the way you solve problems. You can easily jump between day-to-day tactics and long-term vision building. You have a good business sense and understand how products can affect, influence and improve the business. You’ll push for what is right for the business while being laser-focused on -- and passionate about -- the user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and analyze user needs through data analysis, user studies and market research
  • Help define product vision and strategy, and build consensus among multiple teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and business development
  • Own and drive individual products, features and initiatives (small and large) through full lifecycle -- from ideation to launch, then nurturing it through continued iteration and growth
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (editorial, technology, design, sales, marketing and project management) to help create product roadmaps, business and functional requirements, high level wireframes and prototypes
  • Lead day-to-day product development efforts with technology and project management team using Agile methodologies

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product experience within an online media or online content publisher
    • Experience within the healthcare and/or physician space a strong plus
  • Exceptional at working with and analyzing user metrics and turning them into actionable insights, including the use of A/B testing and other analytic platforms.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Google Analytics and AdTech are a plus.
  • A curious and highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively across cross-functional teams and also make things happen on your own
  • Passion for creating user-centric digital and interactive experiences
  • Excited about product ownership and the accountability with which it comes.
  • A strong communicator with great written and verbal skills
  • Detail and results oriented, able to write detailed specs and analyze data to justify product decisions, and apply key learnings
  • Up to date and knowledgeable about the latest trends, innovations and best practices in the interactive space
  • A team player and fun to work with
  • Loves to share inspiration and new ideas with your direct and indirect teams
