The Manager, Finance opportunity for an ambitious finance professional with 7 or more years’ Finance business partner experience to join a dynamic business with high growth ambitions.

As part of the fast-growing team at J2 Global, the ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively across multiple global geographies, business units and product lines while enthusiastically contributing to our fast-moving and evolving business. The Finance Manager will need to be proactive and passionate about utilizing data and assessing key business indicators to identify and produce a consistent schedule of analyses and analytical insights that will help continuously inform and improve the business. In addition, the right candidate will possess strong business acumen and a thorough knowledge of business concepts and financial and business metrics. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a dynamic personality strong enough to present detailed analytical findings and recommendations to all levels of the business, product and management teams.


Job Duties:

  • Work with business unit management and internal FP&A teams to assist in the preparation of budgets and monthly rolling forecasts including the review of historical trends, expense assumptions and performance of ongoing marketing and sales programs
  • Establish a consistent schedule of analytically-driven deliverables and proactively present findings and actionable plans on a consistent to all levels of the business, marketing and management teams
  • Partner with internal and external business stakeholders, marketing and FP&A teams in evaluating key customer and business metrics as well as recommending ways to improve key drivers such as conversion rate, retention rate, lifetime value and ongoing customer satisfaction
  • Passionately and enthusiastically pursue ways to improve overall business performance by analyzing and listening to the data as the foundation for decision-making and priority of action
  • Work with manager on mergers & acquisitions and integrations post acquisition
  • Manage, automate and continuously improve dashboards and ongoing reporting of key performance indicators across multiple product lines and geographies
  • Ensure proper & timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP policies & procedures, and internal control standards

Job Requirements and Experience:

  • Finance business partner with 7+ years’ experience required; including experience in budgeting and forecasting, preferably in online and/or subscription service business models an advantage
  • A self-starter with experience of working in a fast paced team environment
  • Someone who takes ownership, makes recommendations, and takes the lead on delivering efficiencies and bringing improvements
  • Experience in meeting tight monthly/quarterly deadlines
  • Experience of international accounting in a US multinational would be advantageous
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
  • Good business acumen and an ability to work across boundaries and cultures
  • Broad financial, analytical and structured problem solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA preferred
  • Must have superior and hands on Excel skills and have fluency in spreadsheet creation and manipulation
  • Technical proficiency in accounting matters

  • Must have knowledge of various financial systems and ability to extract and interpret large data sets.
  • Must be a highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to build rapport with other team members and cross-functional departments
  • Must possess superior organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to function successfully in an environment with multiple and shifting priorities
  • Experience of driving significant change management projects in an organisation
