The Opportunity

Serves as an expert on both the healthcare and digital media industry with a focus on leveraging market and audience insights to develop a robust long-term product and new vertical roadmap aimed at building a strong ongoing value proposition to support the needs of Everyday Health Professional clients. Responsible for working cross-functionally to optimize our overall go-to-market strategy in conjunction with the Product and Development teams.   The platforms employed will include but are not limited to native advertising, digital media campaigns, email campaigns, promo/medical education and other tactics aimed at increasing physician awareness and utilization of specific pharmaceutical brands.

 

The Director will serve as the primary Sales team new product marketing leader responsible for ensuring seamless execution of new product implementation and overall ongoing optimization of sales-driven go-to-market processes.  This role requires both the ability to think strategically while also focusing on details of tactical implementation and collaboration with a dynamic cross-functional team of Sales, Market Impact, Account Services, Creative Services, Marketing Delivery, Editorial, and Product Development staff.  As such, the Director must be a strong communicator in both verbal and written form and must be highly organized.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for new product strategy development and overall pipeline ownership including:
    • Future product and new vertical roadmap development
    • Market and Customer needs-based product ideation
    • Launch implementation owner overseeing product charter with expertise in leveraging disciplined product development and marketing launch model; oversight of New Product Steering Committee and implementation of stage gate process from ideation through implementation and measurement
    • Data-driven, feasibility assessment in partnership with product and development teams
    • Consultant to teams overseeing go-to-market and commercialization stages
    • Product launch measurement and ongoing learning/optimization focused on seamless implementation, field and customer adoption, overall revenue generation, and HCP engagement with client brand messages
    • Ensures consistency in tactical details and decisions made throughout process; flags inconsistencies and re-aligns with key stakeholders as needed
    • Serves as internal expert providing a high-level understanding of new product positioning, messaging, differentiation from competitive products, and executional details.
  • Oversees long-term market analysis including pharma and HCP trends, as well as the overall digital media industry.
    • Partners with cross-functional partners to understand key media, editorial and audience insights
    • Insights inform both digital media future product roadmap planning and new vertical identification/business development
    • Critical team member in working to ensure EDH Pro achieves and maintains a leadership position in understanding market and audience insights to drive innovative solutions in the healthcare digital media industry
  • Motivates and mobilizes cross-functional resources as part of the go-to-market process and overall new product marketing management.
  • Industry thought leadership including development of white papers and industry articles as well as industry conference/panel participation
