The Associate Planner is a key member of the Sales Operations team, supporting our Sales organization by closely partnering with Sales Development team members to develop detailed digital media plans.  The Associate is responsible for providing overall support to the team in the creation of media plans that address the marketing goals of our pharmaceutical clients.  Associate Sales Planners are measured on their ability to efficiently support the planning process for multiple pieces of business simultaneously, developing accurate plans in-line with client objectives.

The Associate focuses on details of tactical implementation, is highly skilled at project and time management, and able to collaborate with a dynamic cross-functional team of the company’s Sales, Market Impact, Account Services, Creative Services, Marketing Delivery, Editorial and Product/Development staff.  As such, the Associate is a highly organized communicator, both verbally and in written form.  


  • Support extended Sales Operations team members with process documentation and memorialization, as well as extended Market Impact and broader Sales Team
  • Support Senior planning team members during RFP process
  • Assist in the development of media plans that are in line with Sales Development strategic direction to exceed client expectations and maximize revenue
  • Assist with the Insertion Order (IO) / contracting process
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of advertising inventory, pricing and products
  • Handle all ad hoc requests in a timely, efficient manner


  • 4 Year College Degree or other advanced degree in business and/or marketing communications
  • Experience with digital media and advertising planning:  1-3 years minimum
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry a plus
  • Intermediate Excel skills a must.  Salesforce and DSM experience a plus.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast paced and evolving environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams
  • Ability to understand pharmaceutical brand marketing plans & RFPs, objectives, and success metrics and applications to HCP mindsets and needs by specialty and care setting
  • Understanding of digital content, marketing platforms/delivery systems and their business models
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, parallel projects
  • Strong ability to identify technical solutions to business problems/needs
  • Ability to solve problems and bring timely resolution to issues.
