As a Campaign Manager, you will be managing the inventory across all Ziff Davis sites including PCMag, IGN, AskMen, SpeedTest and Everyday Health – some of the biggest and most prominent names online. As a commercial operations team we are responsible for the smooth running of all commercial aspects of Ziff Davis. We are the engine room of this business and our responsibilities impact all facets of the company, ranging from Editorial to Sales and from Finance to Marketing. We take campaigns from booking right through to billing, ensuring perfect delivery and support for everyone involved.

The Role

  • Traffic campaigns booked by assigned Account Managers.
  • Ensure delivery is 100% on every campaign.
  • Complete end of campaign reporting and provide high quality screen grabs.
  • Fulfil accurate availability requests.
  • Ensure thorough communication with Sales.
  • Monitor 3rd party data to ensure we have a minimal discrepancy rate.
  • Optimise all campaigns to ensure we achieve the highest response rate.
  • Maintain relationships with advertisers using Ziff Davis.
  • Manage advertising specs documents.
  • Identify new formats and technologies to enable the sales team to be first to market.
  • Attend and explore external seminars and events to stay at the forefront of the AdOps world.
  • Maintain relationships with International Partners and provide support where needed.
  • Help our International Developer with the technical set up and operational transition of new and existing International Partners. In particular with understanding and troubleshooting a variety of ad servers and their architectures.

The Candidate

  • Campaign management skills and experience
    • Google DFP Premium experience is required and Analytics, Adsense or any other ad server is a welcome plus.
    • Experience in SalesForce or some other similar booking system.
    • Experience with the revenue and billing side of Ad Operations is preferable.
    • Organised, pragmatic and focused, with excellent attention to detail.
    • Excellent English communication skills, patience and cultural sensitivity.
    • Able to handle stressful situations to find a solution. Our job is as much about calmly putting out fires as confidently setting up campaigns.
    • Have an affinity with the latest tech, movies or video games and a keen personal interest in online media. These are the things we are passionate about at Ziff Davis and love it when we can share this with our colleagues.
  • Technical proficiency:
    • Familiarity in front-end code skills, html, Javascript, http, xml and the different ad tag vendors in market.
    • Strong Excel skills.
    • Solid http/browser debugging tools (Firebug, Charles, Fiddler etc)
    • Understand and modify ad tags/ad templates and identify differences between HTML, Flash, VPAID, VAST etc
    • Basic knowledge of Programmatic systems and companies.
    • Able to pick up new systems and training quickly.
