As a Business Development Manager - International Expansion within NetProtect, you will have the exciting opportunity to create and deliver strategies to advance Privacy on the Internet globally.

The ideal candidate will possess both a business background and technical experience, enabling them to engage and successfully complete key projects and proof of concepts within the Consumer Privacy & Protection business objectives in target markets. The role will be based in our Seattle headquarters.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Research global customer requirements, markets, competitors, and environments.
  • Identify potential vendors and drive relationship for distribution of VPN services throughout the globe.
  • Drive initiatives through execution by working with a broad set of functional teams across NetProtect and J2 Global, including sales; legal; marketing; government relations; finance; security and compliance; training; and software development.
  • Understand our customers' business and technical requirements, and collaborate with internal development teams to guide the direction of our different brands
  • Understand and forecast macro-adoption patterns of VPN worldwide for the public sector.
  • Execute a variety of strategic initiatives within target countries.
  • Assist corporate development teams to identify acquisition targets for international expansion.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time based on geography and seasonality of business.


  • At least 5+ years of IT sales, channel business development and program management experience.
  • At least 5+ years experience working with cloud computing technology and utility pricing model.


  • Strong verbal, analytical, and written communications skills.
  • Self-starter with proven track record of working effectively across large organizations and different cultures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • International customer experience.
  • Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects.
  • Ability to think strategically, innovate, and be creative using sound business judgment and quantitative skills.
  • Degree in business, finance, economics, or economic development or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and drive successful broad scale programs.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
  • Multi lingual and worldwide business experience
