Everyday Health is seeking a Marketing Automation Manager for our Healthcare Professional division.  The Everyday Health Professional Marketing teams are responsible for communicating with our Health Care Professional (HCP) audience via,,, and a network of related properties. Overall we reach >750,000 practicing physicians in the US and 2 million other HCPs.

As the Marketing Automation Manager for Health eCareers, your primary focus will be to maximize the effectiveness of all email communications and diligently seek ways to move the business forward via automations and the email channel. You are a highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills. You possess the expertise to work cross-functionally to improve the technical infrastructure for our B2B and B2C teams, as well as seek innovative ways to drive email engagement. Additionally, you will   

  • Work closely with Product and Software Engineering to convey Marketing’s needs, scope technical solutions, and oversee their implementation
  • Help organize and manage email automation programs to support demand-gen campaigns, nurture campaigns, site engagement, etc.
  • Create, QA, and schedule various emails/campaigns
  • Monitor and ensure inbox deliverability through adherence to email best practices
  • Manage email list(s) and help define the appropriate audience(s) for communications 
  • A/B test campaigns and/or functionality to determine what delivers the most value
  • Provide insight and direction to improve campaign performance and effectiveness
  • Coordinate email automation and user journeys through planning, asset creation, deployment, and performance analysis
  • Define and create processes that allow team members across the organization to contribute to the improvement of our email



  • Must be a self-starter; able to work with minimal supervision to initiate and complete tasks individually that require input from multiple sources
  • Proficiency with email service providers (SailThru or Pardot a plus) and marketing automation tools (Pardot a plus)
  • Proficiency with HTML and CSS as it relates to email creation
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc)
  • Knowledge of Excel and previous experience working with database management 
  • Familiarity with data feeds (JSON, RSS) and how to leverage them for automation/personalization
  • General understanding of enterprise level reporting tools is a plus
  • Must be proactive, friendly, and work well under pressure
