  Our team is seeking DevOps Engineer who can build and maintain infrastructure as code. The DevOps Engineer should possess superior cloud computing, deployment automation, network, server, storage, security, and coding experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Monitor, build, configure, and maintain the reliability of enterprise production systems in AWS using various services such as IAM, EC2, Systems Manager, Lambda, S3, Route53, DynamoDB, GuardDuty, EKS, CloudWatch, etc.
  • Conduct proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies
  • Configuration management with Chef and manage Kubernetes clusters with Rancher
  • Develop and maintain Chef recipes for automated and continuous configuration.
  • Perform analysis of DevOps practices, identify gaps and impediments for continuous integration and delivery
  • Identify opportunities to manage costs by scaling, autoscaling, eliminating, or migrating resources
  • Improve observability and implement appropriate application monitors
  • Support developers by provisioning and configuring resources
  • SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL database administration
  • Support applications on IIS, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL database, Linux, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Respond to outages by diagnosing and resolving issues as part of an on-call rotation.

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications

 

  • 4+ years of experience in a DevOps/SRE role
  • 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing infrastructure as code within AWS ecosphere
  • Solid experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, EC2 instances, EKS, security groups, roles and permissions, Lambda, and Redshift
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience utilizing container orchestration/clustering tools such as Kubernetes, Rancher, and EKS
  • Experience in deploying and managing various application stack footprints (PHP and Python, etc.)
  • Experience with common CI/CD tools like Gitlab CI, Jenkins, or similar
  • Expert in Terraform automation framework
  • Extensive knowledge in SQL scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and indexing 
  • Configuration and maintenance of common applications such as IIS, Postfix, SQL Server, Apache, Tomcat, and DNS
  • Good working knowledge of Docker and container orchestration
  • Proficient with one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud-hosted application-monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and Datadog
  • Proficient with Jira, Confluence, and git toolset
  • Working knowledge of vulnerability scanning, security, and monitoring tools (Rapid7, Alert Logic, CrowdStrike, etc.)
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
