The Opportunity
The Senior Manager of Ad Product Marketing and Strategy at Everyday Health Group’s Pregnancy & Parenting division will focus on monetization opportunities to unlock the value of our market-leading digital brands and drive profitable revenue.  

You will play a cross-functional role, as a strategic partner to the Sales organization. You will own the Sales ad project roadmap from ideation to product rollout, introducing new ad products and identifying opportunities to enhance current products. You will translate partner needs, work with multiple internal teams to build new commercial opportunities, articulate their value to our sales team and clients, and track performance to measure success.  

To manage ongoing product business opportunities, you will evaluate, prioritize, develop and build through the lens of three key components:
  • Benefits to our audience, clients and company 
  • Incremental and new revenue streams
  • Profitability/ROI
Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

Develop revenue growth opportunities and drive innovation in the ad product space. For all new products you will:

  • Assess the revenue/ROI potential, dependencies and benefits
  • Prioritize the product needs and incorporate into the roadmap
  • Build a business plan to justify the rationale for building the product 
  • Lead strategic discussions and drive consensus on go-to-market strategies (target customer segments and use cases, monetization, pricing, positioning, value proposition, partner prioritization)
  • Formulate an ad product workflow process and work closely with world-class product managers to deliver products to market, ensuring effective and consistent messaging across touchpoints
  • Run experiments to test or optimize, ensuring the project achieves overall goals, meets the needs of clients and addresses the user experience
  • Share learnings, best practices, performance and feedback for optimizations and future product developments
  • Create and prioritize a product backlog proposing new ad opportunities to Sales & Product, evaluating ways to monetize new Product features
  • Stay abreast of industry, competitive, and consumer trends to help inform new features and functionality.

The Day-to-Day

The Senior Manager of Ad Product Strategy and Marketing will drive product initiatives and foster effective cross-functional communication and collaboration. You will focus both on products and capabilities that don’t currently exist within the organization, and on current projects where you will identify ongoing monetization opportunities related to scale, inventory, targeting, and packaging. 

You will collaborate within the organization to bring new, strong and competitive offerings to market, working together with:

  • Product Management
    • Serve as the conduit for bringing new initiatives to Sales and cross-functional teams
    • Drive incremental revenue through product pipeline ensuring timely delivery within budget 
  • Sales
    • Represent Sales’ interests and support revenue needs in new product initiatives
    • Participate in external and internal Sales meetings and calls as the ad product expert
    • Serve at the first point-of-contact for marketplace feedback and non-existing product requests
    • Effectively communicate and deliver revenue-driven product initiatives
  • Cross-functional teams/specialists and other stakeholders 
    • Partner in discovery conversations with functional specialists including Sales Development, Revenue Operations, Engineering, Research and Analytics
    • Effectively communicate ad products, requirements, needs, and value, and input into product workflows 

Job Qualifications
  • 7+ years of product marketing management experience 
  • Proven experience with ad technologies and solid knowledge of the larger digital marketing ecosystem 
  • Critical thinker with exceptional planning skills; highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize requests from multiple teams for a variety of needs
  • Experience with agile development techniques preferred 
  • Undergraduate degree required
