We are looking for a team member to join our growing data science team with focus on researching, creating, and implementing algorithms for recommendation systems, natural language processing and social networks applications. 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in innovative research in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.
  • Develop solutions for real world problems, such as audience engagement, publication content analysis, audience profiling, identity resolution.
  • Implement and adapt deep learning architectures.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
  • Contribute to training and knowledge sharing within and across teams.
  • Introduce new knowledge, cutting edge technology from academia or trade into the company.
  • Discover new knowledge from existing data assets.

Qualification:

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 2 years of software development experience, or a relevant advanced degree.

Technical skills

  • Fluent with Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and NLTK).
  • Experience in applied machine learning or artificial intelligence.
  • Experience with at least one major database system (SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle).
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing and/or recommendation systems.

Communication

  • Ability to present and describe projects results.
  • Comfort in leading internal discussions of technical proposals and designs.
  • Translating complex ideas into simple lay terms, retaining the scientific rigor and logic.

Desirables:

  • Experience with the following: TensorFlow/PyTorch, AWS, Databricks, Twitter APIs, Spark, Git.
  • Well versed in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and coding style.
