As Director of CRM, you’ll play a key leadership role on our Audience Development team to drive consumer engagement & retention, new product adoption, as well as monetization of ZMG Shopping’s CRM channels, including email, mobile, and web push. You’ll also play a meaningful role in helping our users save money on the things they buy everyday, and developing strategies to drive growth in frequency and lifetime value of our users!

Ideally the person for this role has outstanding experience with B2C marketing automation systems and is passionate about using big data for personalization and insights to drive the program forward. You love to mentor people, partner and influence cross functional teams to tackle big business challenges. This person is marketing and tech savvy, data-driven, and has hands-on experience working and leading collaboratively across teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop an overall B2C CRM strategy to engage shoppers across the ZMG Shopping portfolio (RetailMeNot, Offers.com, BlackFriday.com, etc) with personalized, targeted, and relevant marketing across all lifecycle stages
  • Build a strategy for optimizing the frequency and sequencing of communications across multiple CRM channels
  • Lead cross-functional relationships and processes to ensure internal teams are aligned and executing on messaging, priorities and measures of CRM success
  • Lead all aspects of creation and execution of all email (transactional and promotional), push notifications, and in-app campaigns in our CRM tools
  • Devise and implement a testing plan to enable rapid experimentation sought at growing the efficiency of CRM efforts
  • Lead and grow our active email list and push audiences in partnership with our paid marketing and product teams
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure we are aligned on CRM needs and upcoming product improvements.
  • Work with data science, product, and engineering teams to define feature and data requirements for new communications and improve the intelligence available for relevant, personalized, real-time marketing
  • Partner with our Sales, Ad Operations, and Product Marketing teams to understand the needs of our advertisers and promote sponsored content across CRM channels
  • Ensure the performance of all campaigns is analyzed based on clearly defined success metrics and find opportunities for future improvements
  • Lead buy vs. build decisions related to CRM tools and capabilities including evaluating, on-boarding, and integrating with new vendors and technology
  • Lead all aspects of defining and documenting briefs, business rules, technical requirements, and system integrations, as well as processes and procedures for all campaigns
  • Be an authority with vision for the company on relevant trends, insights, and technologies that impact the CRM and ecommerce industries.

Who You Are

  • You are a CRM champion, always advocating for the user and aspiring for best-in-class programming.
  • You are excited by the challenge of driving willingness from ambiguity, and balancing a long-term vision with short-term results.
  • You have 10+ years of CRM marketing experience including innovative campaigns, personalized trigger campaigns, cross-sell initiatives, targeted promotions/offers, and leading preference centers
  • You are passionate about testing and moving the needle
  • 5+ years recruiting, leading, mentoring, and developing hard-working teams
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business or a related field
  • Experience working with product, engineering, data and analytics teams for sophisticated database marketing, data / tech requirements gathering, and integration with CRM and CDP technologies
  • Strong analytical skills to quickly consume large amounts of data and draw insights that drive the business forward
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to establish relationships and influence others
  • Experience with Braze customer engagement platform and Radar location services a plus
  • Results driven with the curiosity and confidence to try new things
  • Flexible and adaptable to business needs and able to pivot as needed
  • Positive demeanor and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
