You're a seasoned editor who's a wiz with words. You can write a killer headline without breaking a sweat. You not only understand, but have a serious passion for technology. You're strategic. You're always aiming to improve and grow. Nice. 

Those attributes could land you a key editorial leadership role at the best tech reviews site on the web. PCMag is looking for a razor-sharp managing editor to help steer and expand our product review and buying advice coverage. 


Work with the editor to grow onsite product-focused coverage and syndication strategy, including managing a large library of content on and other shopping sites.

—Manage and mentor a team of writers to cover various technology product categories.

Edit authoritative reviews, package and edit compelling roundups, buying guides, help and how-to pieces, news, video scripts, and other reviews-related content.

Actively pitch ideas for video, home page, and social media promotion.

—Manage content hubs, write newsletters, craft push notifications.

Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors in coverage areas ensuring early access to new products. (Bonus points if you already have those relationships.)  


You have a strong work ethic, a quick wit, and a sense of humor.

You're fanatical about organization and details. 

—You have 5-7 years of editing experience at a major publication or website covering technology (preferably with a product review focus).

—You have experience managing direct reports.

You possess the ability to write and edit clearly and quickly. We test and review more products than any other site, so you absolutely need to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your strict attention to detail, intimate knowledge of grammar and style, and quick ability to make rough copy shine are given. 

You've got bright ideas about how to help our readers buy and use technology, and a clear  plan to get those ideas implemented, 

—You understand SEO, but you also know how to package a story to delight readers.

You have experience working with content management systems, image editing programs, and web analytics tools.

You hold a bachelor's degree (preferably in Journalism or English).
