Position Overview:

The Strategy & Growth Manager role is with Ziff Davis, a subsidiary of J2 Global, Inc (NASDAQ: JCOM). Ziff Davis is a leading tech company that owns and operates premium digital brands in tech, gaming, and shopping such as: IGN, Humble Bundle, RetailMeNot, Mashable, PCMag, Ookla (, Ekahau, Spiceworks, and many more. Collectively, Ziff Davis brands are visited by a global audience 500MM+ times / month.

We are seeking a highly motivated Strategy & Growth Manager to develop organic and inorganic growth strategies for Ziff Davis and its owned and operated brands. The Strategy & Growth team reports to the President of Ziff Davis, and the Manager will report directly to the Senior Director, Strategy & Growth.

The Strategy & Growth team is responsible for three core drivers of portfolio growth:

  1. Corporate Strategy (e.g., organic growth planning, new product launches, cross-portfolio revenue synergies, etc.)
  2. Corporate Development (e.g., M&A strategy, target sourcing & diligence, board decks, etc.)
  3. Business Development (e.g., revenue-generating partnerships, vendor deals, etc.)

Our work is highly dynamic, projects span dozens of brands, and no two days look the same. The Manager will be called upon to develop relationships with key brand leaders and collaborate with Strategy & Growth teammates toward high-quality persuasive work products.

Ideal candidates are self-starters capable of owning growth projects from start-to-finish and demonstrate an understanding of the tech landscape, leading platforms, digital-media revenue streams, and the major players in our industry.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years work experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, and/or equivalent experience in tech / media
  • Have authorization to work in the United States 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strategic thinker, with excellent interpersonal skills, and comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, “start-up” environment
  • Strong analytical and logical structuring skills and ability to solve difficult business problems through financial models and supporting analyses (e.g., slide development)
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting in front of senior leadership
