The Opportunity

The Senior Director of Partnerships leads a mission critical team for Health eCareers. Partnerships are at the center of our business model and have helped position us as the market leader in physician recruitment marketing for over 25 years. As the leader of the partnerships team, you will be responsible for establishing and growing mutually beneficial relationships with our partners, most of whom are the world’s most recognized and trust medical societies such as the American College of Cardiology and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

The Senior Director, Partnerships will manage a team responsible for overseeing a portfolio of partners with a focus on retaining, growing, and maximizing the business opportunity with each partner. In each partnership, you will be operating an online job board business that will simultaneously be a valuable career resource for society members and profitably maximize revenue for both Health eCareers and our medical society partners. 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Director of Partnerships to drive growth, strategy, and further cement our position as the preferred partner in the space. You will serve on the leadership team of Health eCareers, helping to shape overall business strategy, culture, and contribute directly to our overall success. In addition, you will represent our partners throughout the organization powered by a deep understanding of their needs, market trends, and competitive activity.

The Senior Director will also manage a team of experienced relationship managers and event management staff. You will lead and coach, but will also not be afraid to roll up your sleeves when necessary, to achieve our goals. The candidate will also work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product to execute strategic priorities. As such, the ideal candidate will be comfortable working with individual contributors up to senior leadership. 


Responsibilities:

  • Direct all aspects of partnership sourcing, management, renewal, and growth across 50 strategic medical society and industry partner accounts representing tens of millions in annual revenue.
  • Conduct annual strategic market analysis to identify and lead all business development initiatives focused on expansion into new medical specialties and profitable revenue growth.
  • Negotiate complex, multimillion dollar partnership agreements designed for mutual benefit, which will result in growth for Health eCareers
  • Oversee the partnership management function to maximize partner retention, satisfaction, revenue growth, and margin expansion
  • Lead the growth and development of our rapidly growing career fair business
  • Responsible for the management, growth and development of 2 partnership managers and 2 event management staff.
  • Work with our B2B marketing and sales teams to establish effective strategies for revenue growth.
  • Work with our B2C marketing team to create and execute jobseeker engagement campaigns on behalf of our partners that maximize user engagement and delight medical society members.
  • Serve on the leadership team, representing our partners and collaborating with other departments on critical initiatives
  • Develop and evaluate ongoing marketing strategies with partners with a focus on optimizing traffic and conversions, while driving overall growth and awareness of their career centers.
  • Identify opportunities for new initiatives, product offerings, and marketing activities to drive increased website traffic and revenue through partner channels.
  • Maintain and expand our position as a thought leader in healthcare recruitment advertising

Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years relevant work experience in a partnerships or business development in health care, medical societies, health care recruiting, and/or recruitment marketing
  • At least 3-5 years of direct people management experience in partner facing roles with a track record of attracting, hiring, developing and retaining top talent
  • Consistent track record of achieving and exceeding business KPIs, especially those related to establishing and growing partnerships
  • You possess an uncanny ability to connect with people, build relationships, motivate, and inspire
  • Financial acumen including the ability to build and/or understand pro forma financial projections
  • Transparent communication style focused on achieving results and doing things the right way
  • An ability to think strategically while maintaining necessary understanding of the details
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with creative ability to overcome challenges
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders of all levels and influence effectively through collaboration and understanding root cause
  • Flexible, team-oriented self-starter who is capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and accountability
