j2 Global is seeking to add a Corporate Paralegal to its legal department. This Corporate Paralegal would primarily be responsible for assisting with aspects of the company’s public company securities and corporate governance matters, as well as commercial contracts and general legal administration. This Corporate Paralegal would also have the opportunity, from time to time, to assist with mergers and acquisitions transactions.

Job Duties:  

  • Assist with aspects of the company’s public company securities and corporate governance matters, including SEC filings and board and stockholder matters.
  • Assist with the company’s commercial contract administration, including preparing and assisting with the negotiation of customer contracts based on pre-approved forms, coordinating internal approvals and signatures and managing the legal contract database.
  • Assist with the company’s legal entity administration, including preparing and maintaining up-to-date legal entity organizational structure charts and fact sheets.
  • Assist with administrative aspects of the company’s regulatory compliance programs.

From time to time, assist with aspects of the company’s mergers and acquisitions transactions, including diligence matters and signing/closing processes.

  • Attend to other day-to-day legal administrative matters, and otherwise support the legal team in its regular activities.

Job Requirements and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification required.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a corporate paralegal at a reputable law firm and/or company.
  • Experience with legal entity administration, corporate transactions and contracts.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and keep track of multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment.
  • Ability and openness to learn new things.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure and rapidly changing environments.
