We are seeking an SVP, Chief Revenue Officer to oversee the Sales and Integrated Marketing teams across the US and Canada for all verticals- Gaming, Entertainment and Consumer. This role will also work closely with all distribution partners on creating partnerships and sales packages. The role will work very closely with all leads across the organization as well as leads within other business units at Ziff Davis. Candidates must have established relationships and a proven track record of accomplishment in leading teams, interactive advertising sales, and business development. He or she should be well organized, creative and results-driven. A minimum of 10 years of sales experience and 5 years sales management is required. Reporting to the EVP, General Manager.


General Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all sales and integrated marketing teams across the US and Canada
  • Work with sales leads on development and optimization of the sales team
  • Work with VP of Integrated Marketing on event, sponsorship, and overall RFP support strategies and development
  • Work with GM on the vision of the Sales and IM team as well as new initiatives for IGN as a whole
  • Aiding team in structuring strategic and integrated partnerships
  • Cultivating relationships with top advertisers and agencies
  • Traveling across the US to assure that sales and client’s needs are being exceeded
  • Oversee all quota assignment
  • Managing annual revenue budgets, expenses, etc
  • Weekly reporting on revenue and inventory tracking and pacing and outlook
  • Help lead and negotiate third party partner relationships, including distribution platforms- Snapchat, Twitter, Samsung TV Plus, Verizon Media Group, etc
  • Work with department leads across all teams on developing overall IGN strategic goals
  • Collaborate across teams to create new ad products
  • Work closely with content leads on content strategy to determine most monetizable content
  • Work with Branded Content team on managing projects, budgets, resources, etc
  • Develop new programs and partnerships that can build IGN’s brand and are monetizable
  • Work with ad ops on tracking inventory, data, rate analysis, audience development efforts, etc


Experience Required:

  • Track Record of successfully managing sales professionals
  • Experience assigning accounts, setting quotas, and forecasting growth
  • Experience managing budgets and weekly reporting on revenue performance and tracking and industry pacing
  • Proven capacity to significantly enhance revenue
  • Experience working with other media platforms
  • Experience developing partnerships with outside vendors
  • Category specific strength
  • Management experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10-15 years of online media experience
