The Strategy & Planning Analyst is with Ziff Media Group, a subsidiary of J2 Global, Inc. Ziff Media Group is a leading digital media company that owns and operates premium digital brands in the tech, entertainment, and lifestyle verticals, such as: Mashable, PCMag,, and Askmen. Collectively, Ziff Media Group brands reach 110M unique users each month.

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to develop, analyze, and execute organic growth strategies for Ziff Media Group. 

The Strategy & Planning team is responsible for three major drivers of growth:

  1.       Business Development (e.g., organic growth planning, content monetization, etc.)
  2.       Data Distribution (e.g., audience targeting, third-party monetization etc.)
  3.       Ad Network Management (e.g., partner management , technical optimization etc.)

The Strategy & Planning Analyst will support ongoing priorities in each of the growth drivers above. 

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, self-starters capable of owning projects from start-to-finish and have a good understanding of the key social-media platforms, common digital-media revenue streams, and major players in our industry.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Have authorization to work in the United States
  • B.S. or B.B.A in Economics, Business/Management, Finance, Media/Entertainment management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated interest in digital media, our core verticals, and/or Ziff Media Group’s business
  • Strategic thinker, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, “start-up” environment
  • Great analytical skills and familiarity with building slides, Excel modeling, and other supporting analyses
  • Prior experiences in management consulting, corporate strategy, and/or investment banking
