Job Summary:

The Financial Reporting Senior will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis ensuring financial integrity/accuracy and internal controls.  This position reports directly to the Manager of Financial Reporting.

 

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Draft required filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, etc.) in accordance with SEC guidelines and new pronouncements
  • Draft earnings presentation schedules and Audit Committee materials
  • Research new accounting standards and accounting issues faced by the Company and document findings in memorandums.
  • Draft MD&A, financial press releases and other reporting items for quarterly earnings conference calls.
  • Draft documentation of policies and procedures related to financial reporting necessary for SOX compliance
  • Prepare monthly stock-based compensation and equity reconciliations
  • Prepare accounting for business combinations
  • Assist with providing support to external auditors in connection with quarterly reviews and annual audit
  • Support special projects as needed

 

Credentials / Experience:

This role requires an experienced, energetic person, with a strong technical accounting and reporting background and demonstrated leadership skills.  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of public accounting or corporate reporting experience
  • CPA required
  • Big 4 or National CPA audit firm experience highly desired
  • Experience analyzing complex technical accounting principles, including stock-based compensation or demonstrated technical accounting ability in other complex areas
  • SEC filing experience and knowledge of the SEC reporting process and current GAAP standards

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong technical writing skills.
  • Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and function independently and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to meet deadlines as necessary and work additional hours as required.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial issues to drive resolution of non-standard accounting issues and recommend independent conclusions or solutions
  • Personable, positive and enthusiastic attitude with capability to deal effectively with people at all levels inside and outside of the organization and as part of a team.
  • Sharp, fast learner with a technology curiosity and aptitude
  • Highly proficient in MS office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook; knowledge of Oracle a plus, but not required.

 
This is a remote/office-based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except within Colorado.
