Everyday Health Group’s Consumer Division is currently seeking a Director of FP&A and Strategic Planning to lead financial planning and analysis and to support the strategic planning efforts of the organization. This includes helping drive growth strategies and recommending operating improvements, as well as M&A strategy and execution.

You will work with business leaders to identify and interpret issues/opportunities. You will act as a financial expert on cross-functional teams to build and prepare models, review and challenge business assumptions and quantify the costs and benefits of proposed initiatives. This role will report to Everyday Health Group’s SVP, Financial Planning and Analysis and will have direct daily exposure to the Business Unit GMs and other members of Senior Management. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead long-range planning, annual budgeting, and monthly financial forecasting 
  • Manage the division’s operating and financial models
  • Provide monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for Consumer division
  • Understand complex reporting goals for all revenue segments and be able to customize internal systems to achieve reporting goals
  • Participate in corporate development activities such as pricing strategy, new product launches and M&A through quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Drive Business Unit strategy by constantly monitoring and aligning KPIs with the financial forecast 
  • Work with the SVP, FPA and senior management in the preparation of presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in setting bottoms-up sales goals and sales compensation plans
  • Work closely with SVP Sales to project sales performance and track pacing.
  • Work closely with accounting and account management to resolve revenue recognition issues.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in finance, accounting or related discipline required. MBA helpful.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in leading FP&A, financial modeling and/or relevant analytical roles.
  • Ideal candidate will have relevant experience in Digital Media, preferably in a publishing environment. Experience working with healthcare/pharma clients would be helpful but not necessary.
  • Strong financial modeling skills are essential. The candidate should be expert in Microsoft Excel (strong knowledge of Macros and VBA would be a plus) and other Office applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and concepts, especially revenue recognition.
  • Highly pro-active and detail-oriented. Must be able to manage multiple projects to deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to work cross-functionally and with senior business leaders
  • Analytical problem-solver who can develop creative solutions to support Consumer division management
  • Collaboration is key; must be a team player with curiosity and drive and be able to forge relationships across the company
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced organization with quickly shifting priorities
