Everyday Health is seeking a dedicated, highly focused, and committed Marketing Operations Specialist to join our team.  The Everyday Health Professional Marketing team is responsible for communicating with our Health Care Professional (HCP) audience via,, and a network of related properties. Overall we reach >750,000 practicing physicians in the US and 2 million other HCPs.

This hands-on, task-oriented, operational role requires proficiency with HTML and Email Service Providers (ESPs). The ideal candidate will be an internally motivated team player who has excellent organizational, interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills. This person will assist our marketers and network of brands to maximize the effectiveness of their communications including various types of email (newsletters, alerts, marketing emails, etc.) and website based creatives. This person will work cross-functionally to deploy compelling communications, utilizing various email templates and internal tools, in a timely and accurate manner. They will strive to continually improve the efficiency of our marketing operation processes, with a particular focus on the email channel.

This work may include but not be limited to: 

  • Code and launch of email and newsletter products
  • Providing quality assurance checks to minimize the risk of errors across all marketing channels and to ensure that the highest standards are met for all communications
  • Provide front-line internal support and operational coordination of campaigns across lines of business
  • Create list segments to ensure targeting of appropriate users
  • Develop and optimize automated and personalized campaigns
  • Participate in the creation, oversight, and refinement of scalable workflows for email and other tactics/products
  • Work closely with cross-functional managers to gather requirements for development and enhancement of tools and applications


  • Own end to end implementation of email and newsletter campaigns including specifications, coding, set-up, and scheduling
  • Work cross-functionally with the Editorial, Marketing, Product, and Development teams to develop and refine new email products, internal and 3rdparty tools, streamline workflows, and ensure best practices
  • Provide insight and direction to improve campaign performance and effectiveness
  • Employ a data driven approach to understanding our various audiences and relevant content to provide greater insight into what drives physician engagement


  • Meticulous attention-to-detail
  • Must be a self-starter; able to work with minimal supervision to initiate and complete tasks individually that require input from multiple (and regularly remote) sources
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, as well as proofreading ability
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, friendly, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML
  • Proficiency in Google Suite/Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of digital media industry and practices


  • Experience with Campaigner and/or SailThru a strong plus
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver, as well as Power Point and Excel
  • Knowledge of web design best practices and web standards is beneficial
  • Knowledge of advertising industry
  • General understanding of enterprise level reporting tools
