Everyday Health Group (EHG) is looking for either a Performance Marketing Analyst or Performance Marketing Manager who will evaluate, manage and optimize various traffic sources including Google, Bing, Facebook, Outbrain and other paid sources. These traffic sources will be used to fulfill on our portfolio of lead generation and performance based marketing campaigns. The Analyst or Manager will be responsible for the technical setup of each traffic source including data posting, pre-ping, and pre-population instructions. They will work close with the market research team to optimize online advertisements viewed by millions of internet users each day.  He/she will understand our digital audience, what drives users to engage with our content and how we can best serve them based on user-level behavioral data.  The role requires an analytical and creative mind to perform the analyses, interpret them and communicate them to a wide audience, all with the goal of supporting our mission to empower and inspire people to live their healthiest lives every day.  It is expected that this individual will assume increasing responsibilities over time, driving strategy and making decisions based upon the knowledge base they build by analyzing program effectiveness.

In this position, you will:

  • Collaborate with product, editorial, sales, sales development and design to evolve user acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Work with internal technical resources to ensure proper campaign setup.
  • Produce on-site and competitive deep dives to determine traffic drivers, audience spikes and partner impacts.
  • Understand users by performing audience segmentation.
  • Understand the performance between organic and paid traffic acquisition channels.
  • Design before-after analyses and run A/B tests to understand what promotional methods work on a campaign basis.
  • Develop and distribute reporting to communicate learnings from the past and opportunities going forward.
  • Lead the conception and execution of new product launches that help drive new, high quality users to our sites.
  • Collaborate with vendors and marketing partners to continue to learn more about our audience.
  • Work with other marketing managers in NYC as well as a satellite office in India.

You are:

  • Proven: The Performance Marketing Analyst will have 3+ years of experience in media or affiliate marketing, SEM, and web analytics.  Alternatively, the Performance Marketing Manager will have 5+ years experienced of experience. Strong excel skills are required. We welcome degrees in business administration, marketing, statistics, math, economics, quantitative science, data science, or a related field. Experience with Google Analytics is preferred. Prior direct marketing experience is a plus. Experience with lead management platforms such as Has Offers or Cake a plus.
