The Ziff Media Group’s Strategy and Growth team is tasked with owning the monetization and insights of all Ziff Davis data that is stored within Ziff Davis’s data management platform (DMP). As Product Specialist, you will have a multi-faceted role on a new team focused on monetizing Ziff Davis company-wide data. The data includes intent-based segments on Ziff Davis’ 200M monthly users across our various sites and platforms: Mashable,,, IGN, Everyday Health, What to Expect, the Ookla Speedtest app, and more

You will work with ad operations, product management, engineering and sales teams to ideate and develop new technical products, roll them out to market, and grow cross-industry strategic data partnerships. The role is a mix of working with engineering to develop new products, driving revenue growth by talking about our data to external clients (advertisers, agencies, etc.), and serving as the subject matter expert under the Strategy and Growth team at Ziff Davis.


  • Report to a Director level or higher role within Strategy and Growth to drive meaningful change across the organization
  • Lead the development and adoption of innovative new data products, including technical improvements to the DMP and other data interfaces
  • Partner with engineering to translate customer needs into a better overall data product; recognize trends in customer feedback and escalate issues within Ziff Davis
  • Actively interface with external clients (advertisers, agencies, ad tech companies) who buy data and insights from Ziff Davis; assist in identifying and executing potential strategic partnerships
  • Support internal media sales efforts by building segments and consulting on data targeting
  • Gather and analyze large amounts of information expeditiously; develop compelling, insightful recommendations across the organization, and lead execution against recommendations quickly and with flawless accuracy
  • Build consensus among cross-functional teams and influence decision making within senior-level audiences. Create operational processes and practices that drive efficiencies for the ad operations, product management, engineering and sales teams
  • Develop automated reports and dashboards that are easily accessible to all stakeholders across the company


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or Engineering degree
  • Hands-on analytics-based programming experience, including SQL, R, and Python
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of engineering best practices and product development (e.g., test driven development, continuous integration, etc.)
  • Experience working with client facing roles and working with sales teams
  • Extremely organized with strong adherence to timelines with good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to create effective relationships, influence and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels
  • Effective strategic and analytical capabilities, with the ability to collaborate well in a team environment
