Ziff Davis is looking for an experienced Receptionist to serve as the initial point of contact for our New York office. The receptionist greets all guests, employees and visitors. The role will be directly responsible for achieving timely and effective delivery of Front-of-House (FOH) services to external and internal customers in accordance with the responsibilities set forth below. The successful candidate will be well versed in customer care;, having the highest regard for providing the best customer experience, be self-motivated and have excellent interpersonal skills. If you are a master at multi-tasking, have a knack for solving problems, anticipating needs, are known for being extremely organized and detail-oriented, we have the ideal role for you.


  • Greet all incoming guests, visitors and clients
  • Visitor comfort, including refreshments
  • Ensure coffee is made in the morning
  • Monitor and guide visitor access and maintain general security awareness
  • Creation and distribution of access control system/cards and building security visitor notification
  • Liaison with building security
  • Creating name cards for new hires
  • Receipt and distribution of packages and catering
  • Data entry of office supply orders, work orders and other documents, as requested
  • Manage supply closet at reception area
  • Conference room calendar management
  • Manage absence coverage for receptionist role
  • Assist Office Manager with meeting and event planning
  • Serve as backup for Office Manager during absencesOther duties, as requested


  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role
  • AA, BA/BS degree preferred
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter, organized and ability to work independently
  • Dependable, poised, polished and professional
  • Strategic problem solver; assess situation, identify alternatives, dependably execute solutions
  • Enjoy taking initiative and follow project through to completion
  • Proven experience managing multiple assignments successfully
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality with business matters
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and G-Suite
