This Sr Operations Support Technician is responsible for the support and maintenance of j2’s IT hardware and software installations worldwide, including data centers, co-lo’s, remote offices, and cloud deployments.  The focus of this position will be on IT support including IT facilities, IT procurement, Server and PC configuration, IT asset tracking, reporting, and logistical operations associated with the delivery, system administration, and decommission of IT related assets worldwide throughout their lifecycle. 

  • Manage fixed asset tracking information in the ITAM system for all fixed assets.
  • Maintain compliance with j2 ITAM policies and ensure successful internal audit results.
  • Coordinate maintenance, replacement and repair of pc, server, networking, storage, plant and supporting systems globally.
  • Build, Install, troubleshoot, and maintain pc, server, networking, and storage systems in a multi-platform environment.
  • Provides escalated technical support that requires an on-site presence (pc, server, storage, network or plant equipment).
  • Performs complex software/hardware troubleshooting, patches and installations in cooperation with the Admin teams
    and in accordance with the change control process.
  • Manage colocation provisioning in DCIM and ITAM provisioning and tracking software such as LanSweeper and Jira Insight
  • Responsible for local inventory, maintenance, and license management.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of published documentation such as operations manuals, rack diagrams and photos, floorplans, and contact information.
  • Enforce j2 standard colocation and remote office operating policies, methods, processes and measures.
