Ziff Media Group (ZMG) is hiring a Content Marketing Associate to conceptualize, produce and market content across our shopping and editorial brands (including Offers.com, BlackFriday.com, BestBlackFriday.com and PCMag). This role will report to the Content Marketing Editor and will work closely with the PR, Partner and SEO teams. 

It is a great opportunity to learn and grow alongside an experienced team and try your hand at many different types of content marketing. 

Main responsibilities

  • Produce editorial content for an audience of deal-hunters and shoppers. We are primarily looking for a writer to handle our tech-related content ideation and production. However, you'd be asked to sometimes dive into lifestyle, dining, fashion, holiday shopping and retail industry news as well. Assignments will include both long-form content/guides, as well as quick turn-around daily news writeups. 
  • Develop ideas for new content and content updates using analytics tools, in-house data and industry trends -- and own the execution of these ideas
  • Consult across ZMG brands to conceptualize and build shareable content
  • Build and conduct surveys to capture consumer insights for content
  • Support the distribution of our content and reach out to reporters and bloggers to drive interest to our stories
  • Track content performance and share insights with management 

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience in writing for an online audience
  • Background in journalism, communications, content marketing a plus
  • Specialized knowledge of retail industry, tech products and deal-hunting a plus
  • Eye for detail, excellent grammar and ability to self-edit (AP Style knowledge a plus) 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong research skills and ability to parse data, trends and product information for a consumer audience
  • Familiarity with content management systems for online publishing (and willingness to learn/adapt to new content management systems and markup languages)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and collaborate across teams
  • Understanding of SEO (and common SEO analytics tools) a plus
