The Ziff Media Group HR team is looking for an eager People Operations Coordinator to round out their dynamic team to work in either Austin or New York. Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive culture by embracing and promoting ZMG’s Core Values
  • Provide full HR lifecycle support from a candidate’s application to a role through an employees’ exit from the company by acting as an ambassador of our brand and a resource for all stakeholders
  • Hosting the new hires’ first day to make them feel welcome by managing the new hire onboarding experience  including welcome emails, IT logistics, onboarding instructions, I-9s, while partnering with key stakeholders to ensure a positive experience;
  • Connect new team members with key their colleagues, make sure they become well integrated
  • Facilitating a positive employee experience and enhance job satisfaction by ensuring employees have relevant information in a timely manner, encourage adoption of new perks and benefits, and organizing team building activities
  • Manage the offboarding experience to ensure proper closure as employees transition out of the organization
  • Create and maintain accurate employee records; ensure I-9 compliance and other applicable documentation to ensure compliance with federal and state laws
  • Support the HR team to enable everyone to reach their full potential by providing day-to-day support to employees and business partners, answering questions to make it enjoyable to work at ZMG
  • Provide ad hoc HR reports on request; maintain existing reports and dashboards with up to date information
  • Identify, create, and implement People Ops processes to help scale and optimize by building and maintaining internal process documentation
  • Assist with planning, promotion and execution of employee engagement events;
  • Maintain and administer pay plan, benefits, and bonus programs.
  • Use human resources HCM software, and other internal platforms to prepare and maintain records of employee hiring, promotion, transfers, or terms
  • Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to build an outstanding employee experience: IT, Finance, Payroll, Recruiting, and Workplace Experience

Qualifications & Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of HR or office support experience
  • Hard working and reliable with a results oriented approach
  • You are a self-starter that actively, takes initiative, and learns from mistakes; coachable
  • Superb interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; straightforward
  • Resourceful, strategic & tactical thinker with well developed influencing skills
  • Good decision-making skills, knows when to ask for help and not afraid to do so
  • Positive and supportive, able to bring out the best in others around them
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; Google Workspace; HRIS systems (added bonus if you have experience with Jobvite, ADP and Workday). Able to quickly develop key relationships  with the broader HR team and key business partners
