Job Summary:
The Web Marketing Specialist, CRO is a member of the J2 Global Cloud Services division within the Fax business unit as a member of the SOHO Marketing team.  As part of the fast-growing Marketing team at J2 Global, we’re looking for a flexible and passionate team player who is familiar with how business professionals engage with e-commerce websites across multiple devices. The ideal candidate is an independent, analytical, energetic and a strategic problem solver with web and marketing experience supporting a B2B market. 

Job Duties:
As the Web Marketing Specialist concentrating on conversion rate optimization, you will work closely with marketing leadership, channel managers, creative services, business analyst and web developers to drive digital marketing conversion rate improvements from direct traffic, organic search, pay-per-click (PPC), and help create the online experience for visitors from the moment they first land on the website until they become a customer. You will learn how to prepare, develop, and analyze A/B tests and reports to maximize the performance of each campaign to achieve revenue, profit, new customer acquisition, and growth goals. 

  • Have a thorough understanding of the customer journey associated with each traffic source and help channel owners optimize conversion and reduce friction as customers move through the user experience and web sign-ups.
  • Drive the conversion strategy for our landing pages and monitor results throughout the user’s check-out experience.
  • Create well-informed hypotheses and develop prioritized, organized testing plans that balance the optimization and “de-averaging” of existing user experiences with the development of new experiences to support channel and product expansion efforts.
  • Determine key performance indicators (KPIs) for each test, identify the level of natural flux in those KPIs and determine test winners with adequate statistical confidence.
  • Identify growth initiatives that will drive engagement and completion of sign-ups in new and innovative ways on our web properties, including feature and widget development.
  • Optimize landing pages, e-commerce funnels, calls-to-action (CTAs), marketing messaging, best practices of design and calculators to maximize performance.
  • Build strong partnerships with channel managers, SEO (search engine optimization), marketing communication, design and development teams to deliver results.

Job Requirements and Experience:

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree or 1-2 years of relevant work experience in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written; must have proven ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple cross-functional groups and diverse personalities.
  • Be proactive in analyzing data and recommending improvements using empirical data
  • Understand the basics of A/B and MVT methodologies and how they are used to engage the audience and gain first hand insights.
  • Understanding of conversion rate best practices and hands-on experience using testing tools (Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize). 
  • Knowledge of UX centric design practices to identify and implement key UX and UI improvements.
  • Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics/360, Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, crazyegg)  is required; familiarity with Adobe Creative programs is a plus.
  • eCommerce funnel experience and working with HTML/CSS knowledge is also a plus.
  • Extreme attention to detail and a high level of accountability and responsibility
  • The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, organized, and accountable. Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment is a must.
