The Integrated Marketing Manager role is a multi-faceted position working across the Ziff Davis Tech & Mashable portfolio, supporting the various sales functions of our business.  The position requires a diplomatic yet entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and demands flexibility to move with fluidity between roles of inventor, copywriter, salesperson, coach, analyst, planner and brand strategist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead solution development and packaging. On both a reactive and proactive basis, ideate, position and support cross-platform campaign strategies that produce results for our clients and nurture trust with our readers. Work across the life cycle of a campaign to measure and improve.
  • Consult with subject matter experts across a range of product and business teams to develop, and position new advertising solutions and capabilities. Train sales teams on the nuances of new products to empower our sellers to pitch with confidence.
  • Under management oversight, maintain library of sales collateral, including but not limited to sell-sheets, decks, product positioning materials, case studies, trade marketing materials and brand assets (e.g.: demo sites, trade facing websites, social platforms, etc.).
  • Partner with planning teams to develop, price and review media plans and products for accuracy. Coach media planning teams on best practices for building flexible and successful programs.
  • If needed, attend in-person sales calls to support information-gathering, sell-through, project management and relationship-building aspects of our touch-points with our clients and partners.
  • Nurture the growth and health of the bigger team. Assist in the onboarding and development of adjacent Integrated Marketing and Sales department staff. 
  • Actively observe and participate in broader digital advertising industry, including analysis of competitive landscape. Monitor trends, share insights, feed leads and contribute to the development of new ZDT products and opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience  

  • 3-5 years related experience in an agency, ad network, or publisher environment
  • A clear, concise writing style with a dash of showmanship; knowledge of industry best practices for sales copywriting a must
  • Demonstrated experience developing digital media products for advertising clients
  • Experience and willingness to work in more than one capacity, servicing a variety of clients including consumer and B2B spheres of business
  • Meticulous attention to detail and sensitivity to deadlines
  • Strong presentation and intrapersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to build healthy working relationships and to diplomatically balance competing opinions, priorities and directions
  • Maturity to take criticism and direction well
  • Maintains a positive attitude under pressure
  • Self-starter; able thrive with minimal supervision and resourceful to seek and source support beyond immediate management layers
