About the Role:

We’re looking for a Branded Content Production Assistant to aid in the process of creating sponsored content for IGN.

Reporting into the Branded Content Production Manager, the production assistant will work closely with our editors and producers to ensure all projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.

This role will contribute to big, creative content ideas for clients, all the while adhering to deadlines and internal guidelines. The role sits within the global creative solutions team but collaborates with teams across the business including commercial, legal, editorial, and video -- both in the UK and in IGN’s offices throughout the world -- on a daily basis.


About You

You’re a gamer with a passion for movies, TV shows, and fan culture. You understand the intricacies of gameplay mechanics, keep up to date with trends in the industry, and know what will resonate with IGN’s audience. As well as being a creative writer, you have a marketing background and a good understanding of client needs. You manage projects efficiently, and are able to prioritise and meet deadlines without compromising quality of work. In addition, you’re a personable communicator who enjoys sharing ideas with your team and building positive relationships with publishers.



  • Brainstorming fun, innovative, and interesting content ideas.
  • Writing informative and engaging copy to communicate ideas to clients.
  • Working with the commercial team to decide on the best response to sponsorship briefs and then following the progress of our response from submission to sign-off and delivery
  • Liaising with the editorial team to ensure the ideas generated are on brand and meet the quality expectations of IGN’s products
  • Producing content that’s optimised for each of IGN’s platforms (site, social media, YouTube etc).
  • Writing video scripts, articles, and site/YT/social copy as needed.
  • Collaborating with the design team to build thumbnails and assets for sponsored content.
  • Advising internal and external teams on the feasibility of any given idea and what timelines, budgets etc are needed in order to complete the project.
  • Examining and analysing performance data of content to understand why something was or wasn’t successful and advising on what can be improved next time.
  • Working closely with game publishers to develop insight on new titles and fact check copy.
  • Getting hands on with the titles and products we’re promoting, capturing gameplay footage using Atomos devices, and participating in Betas for research.


Experience Required


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following qualities and experience:


  • Experience in marketing, copywriting, content production or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • A creative mind and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate a solutions-focused and proactive approach to their work
  • Ability to set and stick to deadlines.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams and understand the different requirements from each.
  • A passion for video games, movies and fan culture.
  • Experience in digital analytics is preferred; willingness to learn is essential.
  • A firm knowledge of the IGN brand, including our platforms, shows, and audience .
