The Global CRM Manager is an opportunity for an ambitious marketeer to join a dynamic business with high growth ambitions within J2 Global’s cloud services organisation.

We are seeking a high-performing, innovative, results-oriented and customer-obsessed Global CRM Manager to own our marketing automation, support development of acquisition and retention campaigns and own implementation direct to customer communications roadmap across email, SMS, push and in-app for all voice products across our global footprint.  Owning your results, you will thrive in rolling up your sleeves and leading by example, intuitively taking a creative approach to getting the most from what you have available to achieve exceptional results.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations, this is an exciting role for the right candidate who enjoys pushing against the status quo. As a key member of the Global Voice Marketing team, this position will shape & drive our B2C and B2B Voice cloud services marketing initiatives across multiple channels and geographies.

Role & Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for driving and implementing our marketing automation, supporting the development of our acquisition and retention strategy and owning the implementation of direct to customer communications roadmap across email, SMS, push and in-app

  • Marketing Automation & Data Management
  • Review and reorganise our database(s) and collaborate with Voice Business Analysis to drive data capture and data integrity requirements. Skilled in data extraction & manipulation for reporting purposes.
  • Proactively maintain the data hygiene and integrity of our CRM data including establishing rules and operational routines to regularly cleanse and augment the data and ensuring the database is segmented effectively for targeted marketing activities.
  • Define and develop the CRM platform structure and architecture ensuring it works seamlessly across the organization and captures all required information at key points in the customer life cycle.
  • Develop and document clear processes and a framework to drive efficiency and use insights gained for continuous improvement and monitoring.
  • Train and guide regional teams on compliance, budget management, ROMI, Marketing Automation, Naming Conventions, Lead Management, Closed Loop Reporting and Dashboard Creation.
  • Work closely with the Voice Business Analysis to perform Data steward activities, to ensure accurate information is available, including audit processes to reconcile the data with multiple sources and validate the accuracy.
  • Be a leading voice for GDPR and data privacy law and compliance for email
  • Understanding and communicate key customer base movements & trends through the use of data analytics and insights and identify ways in which maximum value can be extracted for the customer base.
  • Manage ad-hoc marketing operations projects & tools
  • Own the direct to customer communications roadmap across email, SMS, push and in-app, including channel strategy, content scheduling, frequency rules and defining and development of marketing automation improvements
  • Review current direct to customer communications and customer life-cycle engagement and partner with the acquisition and retention, product marketing & product management teams to define customer journeys and develop a comprehensive CRM and loyalty programme to segment, on-board, support, nurture, up-sell, cross sell and win-back customers with tailored communication, content and offers
  • Manages the end-to-end process of projects, from data segmentation to copywriting, triggering the communications and reporting for customer life-cycle, acquisition, retention and ABM campaigns
  • Develop a test & learn plan for optimising targeting, creative and CRM messages. Understand how to validate the results and how to act upon findings
  • Manage post campaign analytics and reporting back to key business stakeholders and leading the ongoing campaign optimisation

About you:

  • To succeed in this role you are a creative and innovative thinker with a data-driven mentality, with a mix of marketing, analytical, relationship management and organizational skills.
  • The role requires the ability to analyze effectiveness of initiatives & campaigns, deep dive on performance, modify campaigns based on conclusions, and clearly articulate results to stakeholders.
  • You’ll need to have strong creative copywriting skills and have experience developing customer-focussed copy – needs to write in a simple, friendly and engaging way. Flexing tone of voice appropriately to different scenarios. Ideally, they’ve got a creative flair, to bring a little edge and humour to comms where relevant.  
  • You have a proven track record of managing marketing automation, CRM and loyalty programs in a B2C/B2B/SaaS company
  • You successfully translate marketing plans into actionable projects and lead the creative development process.

Job Requirements and Experience:

Candidates must be experienced marketers with a proven track record of success. Interested candidates should possess:

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing with a core focus on all aspect of the Digital marketing activity.
  • Minimum of 3+ years working on successful growth products in ecommerce/ SaaS business.
  • Expert numeracy skills. Comfortable with large volumes of data - able to spot insight and direct action quickly.
  • Language skills (French, German and Spanish) and experience managing multi-country marketing initiatives is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to accurately specify project timeframes, dependencies and risk factors
