Key Account Manager - Cybersecurity

As our new Account Manager you will manage and expand new sales opportunities via incoming leads as well as pro-actively prospect new opportunities with key accounts through cross sell and upsell on existing Large and Mid size clients.  

In this role you will identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability. This may include meeting with customers in person, communicating via phone, email, and video conference.Duties include providing subject matter expertise regarding technical issues, advising customers on suitability of products and solutions based on their needs, preparing proposals, presentation, pricing and contracts, developing plans related to the customer and the proposed solution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualify inbound and outbound leads. Outbound prospecting. Develop new prospect and client relationships.

Develop trusted partner relationships with key customers to retain and grow revenues over time.

Ability to define various buying influencers within an organization and manage a complex sale.

Close sales pipeline opportunities.

Conduct product demos for qualified customers via the internet.

Forecast opportunities based upon realistic assessments. Participate in revenue budget forecasting and ongoing budget variance reporting 

Build client rapport, and communicate solution values of products and services.

Meeting/exceeding assigned KPI’s. Deliver results against monthly, quarterly and yearly objectives.

Ability to present and provide basic product demonstrations.

Provide and maintain a rolling forecast, and track sales activity in Salesforce.

Stay current with changes and developments in the security industry. This includes gathering competitive information on products and services, sharing this information with the product development, marketing, client services and executive teams.

Create and manage contracts and proposals.

Manage contract negotiations and work with management and legal counsel as required.

Experience and Skills

3+ year’s experience within business sales ideally in the tech industry, Cybersecurity is a plus.

Proven track record of direct sales, with at least 2 years working with medium to large accounts.

Strong negotiation, prospecting, and closing skills.

Skills with operating at IT Director/business owner level within medium to large organizations.

Proven track record in direct sales and meeting or exceeding goals.

Experience working across a number of verticals.

Experience in IT sales is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong phone presence.

Experience with Salesforce CRM.

Some technical understanding of IT security.

Comfortable with Excel and other MS office tools.

SaaS Software knowledge strongly desired.

Bachelor’s degree desired.
